
The Navy awarded contracts for nine Arleigh Burke-class (DDG-51) destroyers on Monday that are being purchased under a multi-year buy that contains an option for tenth ship. The contracts were awarded to General Dynamics [GD] and Huntington Ingalls Industries [HII] for a combined value of $6.1 billion.
