HII Secures $528 Million Contract For Five-Year San Diego Carrier Maintenance

The Navy awarded HII’s [HII] Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division a $528 million five-year contract covering maintenance on aircraft carriers in San Diego. The contract, awarded on July 21 and announced on July 24, specifically covers emergent work, continuous maintenance availabilities, pre-refueling complex overhaul availabilities, and Chief of Naval Operations scheduled availabilities for Navy aircraft carriers both homeported in and visiting the San Diego area.
