The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) on Tuesday added nine new Republicans to the panel, according to a statement.
New HASC members are:
* Scott DesJarlais (Tenn.)
* Ralph Abraham (La.) 
* Trent Kelly (Miss.)
* Mike Gallagher (Wisc.)
* Matt Gaetz (Fla.)
* Don Bacon (Neb.)
* Jim Banks (Ind.)
* Liz Cheney (Wyo.)
Barron Youngsmith, spokesman for HASC Ranking Member Adam Smith (D-Wash.), said he expected the panel’s new Democrats to be named by midday Wednesday. HASC is holding a waiver hearing for Defense Secretary-nominee retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. EST.
