
The Coast Guard on Tuesday issued a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) on its plans to acquire small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) capabilities to deploy aboard its fleet of National Security Cutters (NSC) to provide the vessels with airborne tactical surveillance.The Coast Guard plans to award a five-year contract to procure the sUAS capabilities, which could be contractor-owned and operated or government-owned and operated, and related ground systems, support and training, a Coast Guard spokeswoman told Defense Daily on Wednesday.…
