Mr. Chad Wolf

Chad Wolf has nearly 10 years of public policy experience, having served both on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch.  He brings to the firm a sound understanding of homeland security and transportation issues, with a focus on transportation security.  Mr.Wolf works in the development and implementation of all aspects of public policy strategies from business development to coalition building and media outreach to direct lobbying of the U.S. Congress and the Administration.
 
His expertise and client work encompasses the full range of DHS security technology issues, credentialing and biometric identification programs.  In addition, Mr. Wolf works on client assignments in border, airline and cargo security programs.
 
Mr. Wolf joined Wexler & Walker in October, 2005 from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where he served as the Assistant Administrator for Security Policy during the last year of his TSA service.
 
In addition to leading that office in the top job, he served as Deputy Assistant Administrator and Chief of Staff.  Mr. Wolf played a key role in the reopening of Reagan National Airport to general aviation operations and in finalizing the Congressionally mandated National Strategy for Transportation Security.
 
During his service at TSA, Mr. Wolf was involved in developing regulations and Security Directives to implement the agency’s programs.  In this capacity he worked closely with airline executives, airport directors and trade association leaders.  He regularly appeared before industry leaders whose operations are regulated by TSA to explain policies and procedures.  At TSA, Mr. Wolf was the recipient of the United States Secretary of Transportations’ September 11th Service Medal and the TSA Transporation Security Silver Medal.
 
Prior to working at TSA, Mr. Wolf served over two and half years on the staff of U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska). He was responsible for the full range of transportation issues and worked closely with the Senator on campaign finance reform. Mr. Wolf also worked for Senators Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX) and Phil Gramm (R-TX) early in his career.
Mr. Wolf graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
