Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Friday awarded initial task orders to four companies under a potential $293.1 million contract to supply the agency with large-scale medium-energy mobile inspection systems for border security.American Science & Engineering [ASEI] received an initial $3.3 million task order, Leidos [LDOS] $3.1 million, OSI Systems’ [OSIS] Rapiscan division $2.9 million, and Britain’s Smiths Group’s Smiths Detection division $3.6 million.
