Two search and rescue helicopters at Caernarfon Airport, Gwynedd, have been temporarily grounded for safety checks. Operators Bristow are carrying out inspections on the tail rotors of the Sikorsky S92s after an accident involving another S92 on a North Sea oil rig last week. The checks have been ordered on all S92 aircraft worldwide.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Jan. 10 (UPI) — Pakistan conducted its first successful underwater launch of its Babur-3 cruise missile from a submarine in the Indian Ocean. The missile, a variant of the ground-launched Barbur-2, flew nearly 280 miles before striking its target, the Pakistan Inter-Services Public Relations said.
