Univ. of Wisconsin to Test Liberty Defense’s HEXWAVE Screener

Liberty Defense says that the Univ. of Wisconsin Police Department will test its HEXWAVE high-throughput, walk-through portal scanner to screen students and faculty for improved campus safety. The beta testing is part of the development process for HEXWAVE, which combines 3-dimensional radar imaging with artificial intelligence to detect and identify concealed threats of all types hidden on a person. The testing in Wisconsin is slated to begin during the second quarter of 2022 and continue into the third quarter. Liberty Defense recently signed an agreement to test HEXWAVE at the Maryland Stadium Authority’s Camden Yards Complex in Baltimore.

DESKO Launches Latest PENTA Scanner

Germany’s DESKO has launched the PENTA Scanner 4X, the latest edition of its full-page passport scanner. The new version of the scanner features higher resolution, a new image power sensor for enhance image capture and better image definition, a USB 3.0 connection to increase the data transfer rate to the application by 10 times, and a document hold clip to obtain the correct placement of the document.
