Northrop Grumman [NOC] has been awarded a $16.3 million contract to provide cybersecurity professional, technical and analytical support to a variety of Navy Information Operations organizations, according to a company statement.
The five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract was awarded by the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Va., to eight companies, according to a statement. The contract vehicle replaces a previous blanket purchase order, reducing costs, increasing access to innovation and improving cybersecurity mission effectiveness, according to a statement.
Under the contract, the Northrop Grumman team will provide full scope information support to Fleet Cyber Command, Naval Information Operations Command Norfolk, Navy Cyber Forces and Fleet and Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command, according to a statement. Northrop Grumman will support the Navy’s warfighting capabilities and all command missions, functions and tasks, according to a statement.
“We will leverage our deep cybersecurity experience in information operations, information warfare and signals intelligence and provide the Navy with innovative and affordable full spectrum solutions to help them meet their mission needs,” Kathy Warden, vice president and general manager for Northrop Grumman’s cyber intelligence division, said in a statement.
Northrop Grumman’s partners on this contract include Calhoun International; TeleCommunication Systems, Inc.; Client/Server Software Solutions, Inc.; Goldbelt Hawk; JB Management and K2 Group.
Contract work will be performed primarily in the Norfolk and Ft. Meade, Md., areas and in various locations around the world, according to a statement.
