ITT Corp. [ITT] has received a three-year, $2.9 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (Rome, N.Y.) under the Transitioning Cyber Security Solutions program to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses of U.S. critical infrastructure and then develop the appropriate responses to achieve an optimum security posture against current cyber threats. ITT will also identify and transition technology from the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Justice and apply specific technology, tools and assistance to identified end users and practitioners that will address their cyber threat and security needs. A clearinghouse will be developed to provide practitioners with an all-in-one web-based repository that encompasses state-of-the-art Web 2.0 technology, as well as proven collaborative and ontological interfaces. ITT will basically provide eight full-time equivalent personnel to develop and execute the cyber security program. The main customer for the work is the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology branch.
