Fairbanks Morse Acquires Metalworking Company Samtan Engineering

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) on Monday said it has acquired Samtan Engineering Corp., which provides metalworking services for Navy and Coast Guard vessels, and aerospace and commercial customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. FMD said the acquisition expands its turnkey maritime solutions portfolio with the metal working supplier. Samtan, which was founded in 1962 and is based in Massachusetts, performs small and large-scale production for metal stamping, deep drawing, marine banded and tapped cable hangers, and main wireway,…
