CHS CWMD Office Awards Noblis $99M for Engineering and Analysis Services

Noblis has received a potential five-year, $99 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office to provide systems engineering and research analysis services. Noblis has supported the office and its predecessor organization the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office for years and the new contract represents additional support work. “Nobilis has more than a decade of experience working alongside DHS’ legacy Domestic Nuclear Detection Office and current CWMD, providing nuclear forensics and other technical expertise,” says Amr ElSawy, president and CEO of Noblis. “We are honored for the opportunity to combine this experience with Noblis’ leading science and technology expertise to continue helping DHS advance this critical mission.” The new work is in support of the CWMD’s Information Analysis Directorate and Strategy, Plans, and Policy Directorate, including the National Biosurveillance Information Center, Intelligence and Targeting Support Branches, and Data Integration Project Management team. DHS to Award GD Contract Extension for Data Center 1 Services

The Department of Homeland Security says it intends to award General Dynamics’ [GD] Information Technology business a potential 18-month contract extension to continue providing managed hosting and professional services for Data Center 1. The award will have a one-year base period and one six-month option and allow for continuation of the services until a contract is awarded in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021 for the competitive Data Center and Cloud Optimization (DCC) and the DCCO contractor is in place.

New Peraton Business on $700M DHS National Security Investigations Contract

Perspecta, which is now part of Peraton, says it is one of the awardees on the five-year, $700 million multiple award blanket purchase agreement from the Department of Homeland Security to provide national security investigations, allowing the company to continue providing this support and services to DHS. Perspecta says it is the nation’s largest provider of background investigative services to the government. CACI International [CACI] previously said it was also selected for the national security investigations contract.

Coast Guard Renews Contract with Palantir for $11M

Palantir says the Coast Guard has renewed a contract with the company for up to nine-months at $11.3 million to continue to provide software to enable centralized collaboration of workspace across the country amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The latest award has a base value of $6.3 million. The service has been using the software since April 2020. Palantir says the software offers real-time visibility into critical data for Coast Guard members anywhere, across ranks, to make informed and risk-based decisions. The software creates a common operating picture to help determine resource allocation, including COVID vaccines, to best respond to the pandemic and enhance readiness.

TSA to Award CEIA Contract for Enhanced Metal Detectors

The Transportation Security Administration says it plans to award a contract to CEIA USA to procure Enhanced Metal Detectors. The pending contract is not being competed. TSA says the EMDs will fulfill current mission needs.

Secret Service Need Maintenance Support for D-FEND C-UAS Solution

The Secret Service has issued a Request for Information seeking maintenance and service for D-FEND Solution’s counter unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) used by the agency in support of its protective mission. The original one-year manufacturer’s warranty included with the purchase of the C-UAS solution has expired and the Secret Service needs to ensure that its C-UAS fleet will be able to perform and assist in providing protection to protectees, dignitaries and at National Special Security Events. The procurement is expected to result in a one-year base contract and one-year option.
