CBP Plans RFP for Tethered Aerostat Radar Support

Customs and Border Protection has issued a pre-solicitation notice for operations and maintenance services for its Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS), which provides persistent detection and monitoring for interdicting low-level air, maritime and surface smugglers and narcotics traffickers along the U.S.-Mexico border, the Florida Straits and a portion of the Caribbean. The notice is in anticipation of a Request for Proposal this month. CWMD Office Issues RFP for Checkpoint Chemical Detector

The Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for checkpoint chemical detectors under Topic 10 of a five-year research and development Broad Agency Announcement. CISA’s Emergency Communications Division to Host Virtual Industry Day

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Emergency Communications Division (ECD) will host a virtual industry day on May 25 from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. EST. FEMA Lists State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has posted the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program and Tribal Cybersecurity Grant Program to make funds available to state, local, tribal and territorial governments to address cybersecurity risks and threats to information they own or operate. Objectives under the program include develop and establish governance structures, as well as plans to improve capabilities to respond to incidents and ensure continuity of operations, help these government’s agencies understand their current risk posture and areas for improvement, implement security protections equal to risk, and ensure organization personnel are trained in cybersecurity commensurate with responsibility. CWMD Office Issues RFI to Support Rapid Capabilities Division Special Mission Unit

The Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office has issued a Request for Information to gauge industry interest and capability to work with the agency in providing assistance for integration of the Rapid Capabilities Division Special Mission Unit program requirements, designs and installations. The RCD is responsible for urgent and responsive support to all SMUs across the DHS enterprise. The program must be postured to move quickly and accelerate acquisition activities to meet SMU demands, along with emerging threats and capabilities. The programs span the needs of the CBRN spectrum.
