Decision Sciences International received an eight-month, $400,000 contract form the Defense Department’s Combating Technical Support Office (CTTSO) to test muon tomography-based scanning systems capable of detecting explosives. The CTTSO will evaluate Decision Science’s passive scanning technology, which uses naturally occurring cosmic ray muons to detect potential threats in cargo, vehicles and other conveyances.

Implant Sciences [IMSC] has sold Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detectors to a Middle East head of state customer for VIP protection. The company says the sale is to a new customer.
