USAF Undertaking Cost Reduction for B-52 Modernization

DAYTON, Ohio--The U.S. Air Force is undertaking a cost reduction effort for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and the Radar Modernization Program (RMP), which has not reached but is abutting a significant Nunn-McCurdy unit cost breach of 15 percent over the baseline. The military services must notify the congressional defense committees of such cost breaches.
