Elbit Meets IFT Milestones for System Acceptance Testing

Elbit Systems [ESLT] has successfully met milestones for system acceptance testing and conditional acceptance of the Integrated Fixed Tower system in Nogales, Ariz., for Customs and Border Protection. Elbit says that the milestones demonstrate the surveillance tower system meets its performance requirements, including the ability to detect, track, identify and classify movement on the border. The Border Patrol will now use the IFT system in Nogales for a period of limited user testing while benefiting from the support it provides to its agents in the field.

MorphoTrak Launches Video Analytics Solution

MorphoTrak, part of the Safran Group, this week is launching a video analytics solutions to help law enforcement and intelligence communities quickly assess vast amounts of video for investigative purposes. The Morpho Video Investigator (MVI) combines the company’s facial recognition software with video analytics for motion, person and license plate recognition. MorphoTrak says that “As MVI sorts through volumes of raw data, the video analyst can start a review based o the most relevant data, saving time and effort normally spent watching the entire video,” enabling an analyst to “find clues faster…to exploit them more quickly.” MVI can run on third-party analytics.

MorphoTrust Achieves ISO Security Certification in Credential Production

Safran Group’s MorphoTrust unit has achieved the highest certification for superior security standards in its credential production process at one of its facilities operating in the U.S., making MorphoTrust the first ID manufacturer in the Americas to receive this certification, the company says. The certification, Industrial Organization for Standardization ISO 14298 governs security printing and specifies the highest possible security requirements for certain printing systems, MorphoTrust says, adding that with the certification, it has been recognized for taking significant steps to reduce, eliminate, and prevent security threats to the ID production process as identified by an independent organizational risk assessment.

Crossmatch Introduces New Ten-Print and Palm Print Scanners

CrossMatch Technologies has introduced the Guardian 200 10-print fingerprint and L Scan palm print scanners, which it will be demonstrating at the Global Identity Summit later this month. The Guardian 200 features blue optics and a lower profile, an icon-based guidance display, and wet and dry fingerprint image capture. The L Scan palm print scanner is offered in 500 and 1000 ppi and allows for rapid auto capture for criminal identification, forensic analysis and enrollment.
