Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] received a potential five-year, $104 million by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide training support to the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP). The contract has a one-year base period, worth $19.5 million, and four one-year options. SAIC will design and develop emergency responder curriculum and provide qualified instructors to teach each course. The company has provided training to the CDP for 10 years. The CDP offers federal all-hazards training that enhance the capabilities of emergency responders, emergency personnel, and government officials responding to incidents involving weapons of mass destruction and other hazardous materials.
