Former Rolls-Royce Executive Joins Skyworks Strategic Board of Advisors

Recipient of the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering’s Silver Medal for his outstanding contribution to British engineering and commercial development in Vertical Lift Systems

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Skyworks, the global leader in gyronautics, announced that Peter Price, former Chief Operating Officer for Engineering and Technology for Rolls-Royce, will join its strategic board of advisors. In that role, he will facilitate global understanding of the transformative capabilities of gyronautics, the science of sustained autorotative flight, and promote opportunities for Skyworks’ innovative technology to aid developing nations in enhancing their aviation capability.

A recipient of the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering’s Silver Medal for his outstanding contribution to British engineering and commercial development in Vertical Lift Systems, Price has a long, successful career in developing and deploying advanced technology solutions for both the Civil and Military Aerospace sector. Notably, he was responsible for providing technical leadership of civil engine research and project programs such as the Trent 1000 engine for the Boeing 787 as well as leading engineering efforts on a wide range of military engine products, including lift system propulsion design and development for the world’s largest fighter program, the Joint Strike Fighter and bringing the EJ200 engine for the Typhoon airplane through certification and operational clearance.
