PCX Aerosystems on Monday said it has acquired Timken Aerospace Drive Systems (ADS), which provides aerospace transmission assemblies, gear boxes, flight critical components and overhaul and repair services for the aerospace and defense industry.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ADS was a business unit of The Timken Company

[TKR] and is expected to have about $50 million in sales this year.

PCX will rename Manchester, Conn.-based ADS as PCX Aerosystems-Manchester LLC.

“Manchester brings a deep history and expertise in supplying complex gears, gearboxes and transmission to the aerospace and defense industry, expanding our capability set in our core target market of mission critical components and assemblies,” Tom Holzthum, CEO of PCX, said in a statement.

The PCX Aerosystems-Manchester leadership will remain with the company.
