No Money For Additional THAAD Batteries In MDA’s Budget Request, Syring Says

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) did not request additional funding in its fiscal year 2017 budget request for any additional Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) batteries in light of North Korea’s long-range ballistic missile test last weekend, according to MDA Director Vice Adm. James Syring.Syring said during a Tuesday briefing that though additional THAAD batteries were not requested, they were not off the table “in any respect.” Syring said MDA is looking at two THAAD tests in the 2017-2018…
