The Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) recently selected Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH], General Dynamics [GD], Northrop Grumman [NOC] and SAIC [SAI] to compete for task orders worth up to $200 million over five years to provide cyber warfare support.
Booz Allen’s award is worth up to $71.6 million, GD’s 78.4 million, Northrop Grumman’s $77.4 million and SAIC’s $84.5 million.
The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a two-year base period and three one-year options.
The contracts were awarded by the SPAWAR Systems Center, Pacific, which is the Navy’s main research, development, test, evaluation and acquisition center for C4ISR and information operations. Its functions include mission analysis, assessment and development of technology base, basic research, engineering in support of production, support to operating forces, the integration of numerous national ant tactical systems in the area of cyber warfare, and more.
The SPAWAR Systems Center said that the work that will be done under the contract will help it “in creating capabilities and providing technical services to support technical and operational activities in the cyberspace domain by the Navy, DoD and other government agencies.”
