Jacobs Engineering Group [JEC] on Friday said it has acquired TYBRIN Corp., a professional services firm offering mission planning, software engineering, systems engineering and other services to the Defense Department, NASA and other federal clients.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jacobs, an $11.5 billion company that provides a diverse range of technical services to government and commercial customers, said that the acquisition provides capabilities in high-end services and expands its presence in the aerospace and defense sector.

“This acquisition supports our commitment to continued enhancement of our capabilities and services in the aerospace and defense sector,” Craig Martin, president and CEO of Jacobs, said in a statement. “The combination of TYBRIN’s specialized technical services with our already robust capabilities significantly expands our ability to serve our clients and assist them in meeting mission objectives.”

Florida-based TYBRIN has 1,500 employees.
