Iraq Requests $800 Million In Thousands Of Hellfire Missiles

The State Department approved a possible $800 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) request to Iraq for 5,000 Hellfire missiles, Captive Air Training Missiles, related equipment, and support.The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the potential sale on Jan. 6.The requested FMS would include 5,000 AGM-114K/N/R Hellfire missiles, 10 114K M36E9 Captive Air Training Missiles, associated equipment, and defense services. The value of the major defense equipment (MDE) is $750 million.The prime contractor for the sale would be Lockheed…
