General Atomics said its Electromagnetic Systems Group has acquired a business unit of Circuit Components, Inc. (CCI), a deal which provides it with a United States-based and owned source of parts used in the division’s commercial and defense products.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The unit that General Atomics acquired from CCI makes bus plates, which are strips or sheets of copper, brass or aluminum that are laminated with insulation materials and conduct and distribute electricity within a very power dense package. General Atomics acquired the people, machines, tooling and specialized equipment used in the design and manufacture of the laminated bus plates.
CCI is based in Arizona and has fewer than 50 employees.
