El Salvador Selects MD Helicopters For Air Force

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—MD Helicopters Inc. (MDHI) yesterday said it received a $7.6-million Foreign Military Sales contract to provide three MD 500E single engine turbine helicopters to the Salvadorian air force, Fuerza Aerea Salvadorena (FAS). The first aircraft will be delivered during the third quarter, ahead of schedule. The contract provides for training, spares, ground support equipment and special tools.
