The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency, Center for Domestic Preparedness is conducting an end-user functionality and efficacy assessment of multi-sensor meter chemical point detectors commonly referred to as multi-gas monitors to validate their employment and effectiveness when used by emergency responders in weapons of mass destruction or hazardous materials environments. The intent of the assessment effort is to provide the emergency response community with feedback on equipment based on utilization in scenarios that replicate conditions that will be experienced in incident response.
