CBP Adds $20M to Leidos Maintenance Contract
Customs and Border Protection has modified and extended an existing maintenance services contract with Leidos [LDOS], upping the ceiling value by $20 million to $179.8 million and extending the period of performance by 10 months until the end of 2022. Under the contract, which was awarded in 2016 for $154.7 million, Leidos provides maintenance and technology support for non-intrusive inspection (NII) systems, radio-isotope identification devices, and radiation portal monitors. The contract modification will give CBP time to recompete the contract. A competitive solicitation is expected to be released in the third quarter of fiscal year 2022 with two task orders planned to be awarded, one to sustain radiation detection equipment and the other to sustain large-scale NII systems.
