Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Air and Marine, has issued a pre-solicitation notice regarding a planned purchase of up to 80 Riverine Shallow Draft Vessels to replace the agency’s current fleet of riverine vessels that are approaching the end of their service life. CBP plans to initially buy 29 of the vessels in the first year. The vessels will be required to operate in shallow rivers and lake areas in as little as four-inches of water and be capable of transiting areas containing rocks, gravel, trees, sandbars and vegetation. The craft will be powered by a singe gasoline powered hybrid-designed water jet engine. The acquisition is a small business set-aside. Sol. No. 20052836.
