Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Information Technology, Border Enforcement and Management Systems (BEMS) Program Office has release a Request for Information for contract support for operations and maintenance for both commercial-off-the-shelf and custom coded software applications and for full systems engineering life-cycle for software development. The BEMSPO historically has contracted for $25 million to $35 million annually worth of similar support the past five years but due to recent activity could potentially increase its contract value three-fold in the next five years. The BEMS is responsible for the full system development life-cycle from planning through deployment of all Border Enforcement, Mission Support and Web-Based Application dissemination and administrative software application systems.
