FBI CJIS Seeks Biometric Multimodal Fusion Study
The FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division, Biometric Center of Excellence, has issued a Request for Information for input from academia, industry or law enforcement entities on current research in biometric multimodal fusion. Combining multiple sources of information, multimodal biometric systems improve matching performance, increase population coverage, deter spoofing, and facilitate indexing. TSA Issues Solicitation for Private Screening Services at K.C. International
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a solicitation for privatized passenger and baggage security screening services at Kansas City International Airport. FirstLine Transportation Security is currently providing screening services to airport under TSA’s Screening Partnership Program. Last spring the agency awarded AKAL Security a competitive contract for the private screening services but FirstLine protested the award in court and TSA is now hosting a new competition. Sol.
