CBP Plans Industry Day for Body Worn and Vehicle Mounted Cameras

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Oct. 11 will host an Industry Day in West Virginia to discuss body worn and vehicle mounted cameras. The agency seeks to expand its audio and video recording capability to enhance transparency and accountability with the public through the use of these cameras. The Industry Day event will be held at the Advanced Training Center.CBP has issued a solicitation under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule 84, SIN 425 4S for a small purchase of body worn cameras and vehicle-mounted cameras for six month operational demonstration to further market research and help define requirements. Navy Issues RFI for Object Detection Analytics

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Atlantic, Solutions in Identity Management Integrated Product Teams has issued a Request for Information (RFI) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on object detection analytics. Commercial off-the-shelf products and products available within six months will be considered. The Dragon Eye Video Intelligence Program is investigating if any company has or is currently developing object detection analytics. The analytics must detect people, cars, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, radio/cell towers, bridges and water towers. The program aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of equipment and products and provide those results to the biometrics community of interest. Sol. IARPA Issues BAA for Functional Genomic and Computational Assessment of Threats

The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Functional Genomic and Computational Assessment of Threats (Fun GCAT), which intends to develop new approaches and tools for the screening of nucleic acid sequences, and for the functional annotation and characterization of genes of concern, with the goal of preventing the accidental or intentional creation of a biological threat. To better address biosecurity concerns, the Fun GCAT program intends to develop next-generation computational and bioinformatics tools to improve DNA sequence screening, to augment biodefense capabilities through the characterization of threats based on function, and to advance our understanding of the relative risks posed by unknown nucleic acid sequences. TSA Hosting Medium-Speed EDS Competition for One Airport
