The Transportation Security Administration as of March 12 expected to have completed the installation of 29 Analogic-supplied checkpoint computed tomography (CT) systems at 17 airports. The agency in Aug. 2021 awarded analogic a $198 million contract to provide 314 ConneCT checkpoint CT systems to scan carry-on bags for explosives and weapons at airport security checkpoints. Smiths Detection in March 2019 won TSA’s first checkpoint CT contract for $97 million and 300 units, all of which have been deployed. The agency plans to eventually acquire about 2,400 checkpoint CT systems.

is awarding Accenture [ACN] a potential 15-month bridge contract to continue to provide recruitment and hiring and support services while the agency competes a solicitation for the new requirement. The value of the bridge contract was redacted. The award will have a three-month base period and four three-month options. Accenture Federal Services has had the contract since Aug. 2016.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency plans to award ESi/Juvare a sole-source contract to provide software licenses, maintenance and support services for the agency’s WebEOC Crisis Management System, which support response and recovery operations for the management, coordination and tracking of requests and resources throughout each disaster and incident life-cycle. The value of the pending award was redacted. FEMA first acquired Juvare’s WebEOC CMS software in 2012.
