Block MEMS has received a $1.7 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate for trace chemical detector for screening parcels.

Customs and Border Protection

is awarding a sole source contract to Tek84 for two contraband detector systems, one for deliver to the New York Field Office at John F. Kennedy International Airport and the other to the San Diego Field Office at San Ysidro. Tek84 develops and manufactures body scanner portals to detect items hidden on persons.

Customs and Border Protection says its officers at the International Mail Facility at Chicago O’Hare International Airport during the first half of 2020 seized 19,888 counterfeit U.S. drivers’ licenses, the majority of the shipments arriving from China and Hong Kong, and other shipments from Great Britain and South Korea. The agency says the licenses were for various people in different states, mostly for college-age students. It also says that the bar code attached to Michigan licenses worked.

HID Global has received a contract from the Coast Guard to supply 96 Guardian200 LSE Runtime License, No Spoof Detection License Silicone Pad fingerprint scanners. The award was made to HID’s Crossmatch Technologies business unit. The value of the award wasn’t disclosed.

E3 Federal Solutions has received a potential six-month contract extension from the Department of Homeland Security to continue providing HSPD-12 planning, program, management and project management support, technical assistance, logistical and asset management, customer and service technical expertise, and business case support. The work is for the DHS Office of the Chief Security Officer, Enterprise Identity Management Office in support of the entire department. The award amount was redacted. The original contract was made under the DHS TABBS strategic sourcing vehicle. DHS is in the process of soliciting for a department-wide Blanket Purchase Agreement for Identity Credentialing and Access Management Support Services.
