The Army Research Development and Engineering Command has issued a draft solicitation notice seeking industry feedback on the Rapid Agent Aerosol Detector (RAAD) effort, which is in support of the Joint Project Manager for Biological Defense mission. The project manager support the Joint Biological Point Detection System program which includes the Biological Agent Warning Sensor subsystem that will be replaced with RAAD. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Labs is currently under a government contract for RAAD development and transition to production support. The RAAD effort will consist of two phases that will include the design transfer, finalized development, product testing, production, production issue resolution, integration support, test support, integrated logistics support and program management.
