The Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) wants to hear from industry by Jan. 31 on its Request for Information on existing research, development, test, analysis and evaluation support for automated and intelligent systems for Ground Vehicle Robotics.
TARDEC is considering whether to formally solicit for the potential award of a three- to five-year contract, the kind to be determined later, with an estimated total cumulative value of up to $9.9 million. The effort would be to obtain support in the areas of robotic software, robotic hardware, communications, human robotic interfaces, robotic navigation, robotic system analysis and engineering, and robotic fabrication.
In responding to the Dec. 21 RFI on fbo.gov, TARDEC said specific instructions must be followed on a series of capabilities in the categories of robotic software, robotic hardware, communication, human and robotic interface, navigation, system analysis and test and evaluation, robotic system engineering support, and robotic system fabrication.
Responses must also address such things as a facility security clearance of secret or higher, of have a Capability Maturity Model Integration Level 5 and other specific questions.
