The Army on Wednesday awarded Harris [HRS] a $1.7 billion firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide Afghanistan with radios, ancillaries, spare parts and services.
The contract is a multi-year, foreign military sales (FMS) contract, according to a Defense Department statement. Bids were solicited via the Internet with only one bid received. The estimated completion date is June 15, 2021.
This contract was inadvertently announced on June 16, DoD said.
