The U.S. Army awarded STG Group, Inc. a $7 million contract to provide a range of technical cybersecurity and information assurance support services to the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), the company said Wednesday.
NETCOM is the Army’s single information technology service provider across all network communications and is responsible for enabling mission command wherever the Army has a presence internationally.
STG is currently a provider of mission-critical technology, cyber, and data solutions to over 50 U.S. federal agencies.
STG plans to support the NETCOM responsibility by providing cybersecurity, information assurance, and vulnerability management support across NETCOM’s profile.
The contract will occur over a hour-year performance period and involves non-personal cybersecurity services supporting U.S. Army Cyber Command, the 2nd Army, NETCOM, and supported units. STG is mandated to support the NETCOM Cybersecurity Directorate with inspection, Cybersecurity Watch Officer governance, Information Assurance Vulnerability management (IAVM), information systems security manager, and Security Control Assessor-Representative requirements, the company said.
STG also plans to continue to expand upon its offering of cybersecurity support, aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

The NETCOM business will be overseen by Joe Nicholas, STG’s newly appointed senior vice president and sector lead for cybersecurity and secure information systems, the company said.
