The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science & Technology (S&T) Directorate has issued a Request for Information (RFI) related to standoff explosive detection technologies that have been integrated or are currently being integrated to improve the overall performance of the countermeasures architecture. Examples of system integration of interest to DHS and its partners include: video and millimeter wave outputs; automated target tracking capability to automate sensor operations; integration of an infrared camera with a millimeter wave imaging system; integration of video analytics with standoff explosives detection technologies; a combination of multiple standoff explosive detection technologies into an overall system architecture that enables analysis and or operation of the discreet devices from an integrated command and control center; data fusion of single mode or multimodal standoff explosive detection technology signals to yield improved information for operator analysis, decision support and action; and more.
