SOCOM Plans Industry Collaboration Days

The U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Program Executive Office for Special Operations Forces Warrior will host Industry Collaboration Days on Oct. 29 and 30 in Tampa, Fla., with the aim of providing industry with an opportunity for a focused engagement with members of PEW-SW and the Science and Technology Directorate to share ideas that facilitate the delivery of innovative capabilities to the Special Operations Forces warfighter. DNDO Plans Industry Day in December

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) will host an Industry Day on Dec. 9 in Washington, DC, to provide interested vendors, universities, national laboratories and interested federal partners an overview of the agencies product acquisition product acquisition priorities and long-term research and development focus areas and show how they align to the Department of Homeland Security’s Global Nuclear Detection Architecture strategy. Part of the focus of the Industry Day will be on understanding the detector market and promoting technology transition from research and development to commercialization. CYBERCOM Seeks Information about Cyber Support Services

The Defense Information Systems Agency is seeking information from small businesses to determine their availability and technical capability to provide cyber-related support services and products to further U.S. Cyber Command’s mission to improve the Defense Department’s ability to operate resilient, reliable information and communication networks, counter cyberspace threats, and assure access to cyberspace. DNDO Issues RFI for Handheld RIIDs

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) Systems Engineering and Evaluation Directorate and the Army Under Secretary for Test and Evaluation are seeking information on handheld Radioisotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) to participate in a radiological/nuclear interagency characterization and assessment program joint test program. The program gathers information on the capabilities of radiological and nuclear detection systems that are currently available, identifies the equipment best suited for the proposed tests and asks the manufacturers to provide operational equipment for the tests. The results go into a shared database to inform stakeholders and provide feedback to participating manufacturers on the performance of their RIIDs and the functionality of the alternative helium-3 neutron technology.
