The Federal Aviation Administration, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection, says it will award a single-source purchase order to General Dynamics [GD] Global Imaging Technologies unit for thermal imaging cameras, thermal imaging systems, and pan/tilt units in support of the Remote Video Surveillance System Upgrade. CBP deploys the camera-based RVSS units at select areas along the southern and northern borders of the U.S. At total of 18 cameras and imaging systems and four pan/tilt assemblies will be contracted for.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has awarded Enterprise Services, LLC, a one-year $374,376 task order to begin acquiring Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) services for cyber security purposes. The CDM program will enhance the NRC’s computer and network security through automated control testing and progress tracking. Enterprise Services, formerly part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, was acquired by Computer Science Corp. in April and the combined entity renamed DXC Technology.

Advent International completed its acquisition of the Identity & Security business from Safran Group, and has renamed the business OT-MORPHO. OT is the Oberthur Technologies company that was already part of Advent’s portfolio and MORPHO was Safran division that managed the identity business. OT-MORPHO, which has $3.1 billion in annual sales, will be led by Didier Lamouche as president.

CLEAR received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office related to a biometric solution that enables end-to-end access throughout an airport without producing identification or boarding pass information. Based on using fingerprints to verify a traveler’s identity, CLEAR technology platform can be used to check bags, enter the airport lounge and even board a plane.
