Accenture [ACN] yesterday said it has completed its acquisition of Gestalt, LLC, a New Jersey-based consulting firm that provides mission support services to the Defense Department.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gestalt has about 250 employees.

Gestalt’s services help defense organizations achieve systems interoperability and collaboration, allowing information from separate military branches to share battlefield information in support of joint military operations. The company also provides services related to modeling and simulation, advanced decision-support technologies, energy- management solutions, and tactical collaborative networks. Its customers include the Armed Forces, Joint Forces Command and regional power grid management organizations.

“Accenture and Gestalt joined forces through this acquisition to offer a wide range of services and proven methodologies to defense organizations,” Eric Stange, managing director of Accenture’s U.S. Defense practice, said in a statement.

Accenture also recently completed the purchase of the defense consulting firm MAXIM Systems, which also bolstered its services in the C4ISR area. C4ISR is a target market for Accenture’s growth in defense.
