The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) as a small business set-aside for a commercial-off-the-shelf law enforcement database access (LEDA) that provides access to the FBI National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS). NCIC and NLETS provide the data required to vet individuals for various jobs that may pose a security threat. The LEDA is message switch developed specifically to support law enforcement and criminal justice information exchange systems. The current contract for meeting this requirement ends in November.
