Thales Alenia Space Gains Satellite Contract

Thales Alenia Space received a contract with JSC ISS - Reshetnev Co. to supply the Telkom-3 communications satellite payload. ISS, the prime contractor, is building the satellite for Indonesian operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia TdK. ISS serves as the prime contractor providing its Express-1000H platform and Thales Alenia Space serves as communications payload supplier. The satellite will be integrated and tested in ISS premises, Russia. Stated for launch in 2011, Telkom-3 will also expand the operator's capacity from 118oE orbital location…
