TASC Inc., yesterday said that it has been re-appraised at the highest industry standard for software and systems development and management, allowing it to offer its customers a high level of execution on projects.

The re-appraisal of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) at a Level 5 rating, which is required every three years, was performed by the CMMI Institute, part of Carnegie Mellon Univ. Level 5 means that an organization “has achieved high maturity levels in its ability to predict cost, schedule, performance and quality of product or service, which in turn significantly reduces risk in project execution,” TASC said.

“The CMMI Level 5 rating is evidence of TASC’s continued operational excellence in managing complex projects for our government customers,” Kevin Anderson, manager of continuous improvements at TASC, said in a statement. “Our process discipline, combined with our domain knowledge and engineering expertise, helps ensure our customers meet both their performance and their affordability objectives.”
