The Army awarded Northrop Grumman [NOC] a $100 million contract to support the III Corps Mission Command Training Center (MCTC), the company said yesterday.

The program provides training for mission command systems, simulated staff training exercises and immersive training for platoon and convoy operations designed to counter improvised explosive devices, according to a company statement.

The contract includes a one-year base with four years of options, according to a statement.

“Our training is based on the latest tactics, techniques and procedures derived from lessons learned in theater and enables complete mission readiness,”  Greg Schmidt, the company’s vice president and general manager for training solutions, said in a statement. “So when a warfighter reaches the battlefield, they feel like they’ve already been there.”
