Lockheed Martin [LMT] delivered the 17th CC-130J Super Hercules cargo aircraft to the Royal Canadian Air Force yesterday, completing the order placed December 2007 early, the company said.

The original contract called for all 17 aircraft to be delivered by the end of 2012, according to a company statement. The first CC-130J was accepted by Canada in June 2010, it added.

The CC-130J is the Canadian variant of the C-130J, according to a company spokesman. The final CC-130J delivered to Canada rolled out of Lockheed Martin’s production facility in Marietta, Ga., on Jan. 12, the company said.
