L-3 Communications [LLL] yesterday said it is realigning its Sensors and Simulation Group to form the Integrated Sensor Systems business to better serve its government and industrial customers.
The new group is comprised of the following business units: Brashear; Cincinnati Electronics; EO/IR Inc.; Sonoma EO; SSG-Tinsley; and WESCAM.
L-3 said the new business group will better focus efforts on emerging intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance needs and facilitate integrated solutions that will lower the cost of acquiring and supporting electro-optical and infrared systems.
The group will be led by Wesley Matooka and is expected to have $800 million in annual sales. Matooka will report to James Dunn, president of the Sensors and Simulation Group.
“Integrated Sensor Systems aligns L-3’s electro-optical businesses to better serve our government and industrial customers, helping us to expand our position in the EO/IR marketplace and focus on internal growth within the Sensors and Simulation Group,” Dunn said in a statement.
