The House yesterday approved the $42.8 billion FY ’10 Homeland Security Appropriations Act by a 307-114 vote.

The measure was put together and agreed to last week by negotiators from the House and Senate who worked out differences in their respective bills to fund the Department of Homeland Security in FY ’10 (Defense Daily, Oct. 8). The final spending figure represents a nearly 7 percent increase over the FY ’09 budget.

The Senate hasn’t determined when it will bring the DHS spending bill up for a vote.
