Egypt Requests $143 Million In UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Encapsulated Missiles

The State Department approved a possible $143 million Foreign Military Sales (FMS) request to Egypt for UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Encapsulated Missiles and equipment, training, and support.The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the potential sale on May 11.The possible sale includes major defense equipment (MDE) of 20 UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Encapsulated Missiles and two Encapsulated Harpoon Certification Training Vehicles (EHCTV).Other non-MDE items in the FMS include containers, spare and repair parts, support and test equipment, publications…
