The Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command, on behalf of the Army Research Laboratory, the Biometrics Identity Management Agency, and the Defense Biometrics Office, is soliciting white papers on the development and demonstration of biometric functionality across four focus areas. For tactical collection systems the focus is on expanded rolled print capabilities and faster iris capture capabilities. For enterprise-wide capability enhancements, the focus is on latent print modality, specifically matching algorithms capabilities for collected latent prints whether on-site with limited processing power available or at a central database that users connect to, and on future modality support such as improved DNA, voice and palm processing methods. Up to seven awards valued at around $750,000 each are expected. Sol. No. W911NF-07-R-0001-04. Respond by July 9. Contact: Julia Wertley-Rotenberry, RDECOM Contracting Center-Durham, 919-549-4268.
